I'm Masil (Israel Mascarenhas), a 2D / 3D motion designer andanimator based in Germany.
I was born in South America in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. There I studied Social and Environmental Sciences at the local university (UFMG). During my studies, I discovered my passion for animation with the software After Effects, laying the foundation for my further education.
Since 2011, I have been specialising in motion design and have continued to expand my knowledge in animation, typography, 2D and 3D animation, and advanced motion design techniques. I have attended numerous courses in 2D and 3D motion design, both at OfG / Online-Schule für Gestaltung (Germany) and numerous online animation trainings abroad (School of Motion / CG Boost Academy / P2design Academy).
I like to experiment with textures and colors and have a preference for unconventional forms of animation. Additionally, I also like to combine 2D and 3D elements and I value sound design as an integral component of a successful animation.
At OfG, I studied in the Motion Design program in 2020 and won the OfG Design Award in the Motion Design category in both 2020 and 2022. I am currently employed as a motion designer at OfG.
